I’ve always wanted to see Paris in the spring, Unfortunately my piggy bank says I can’t go YET!!! So, I will continue to decorate my class with polka dots, Eiffel Towers -Black, White and Hot Pink. I recently got together with my “Working Girls” and this week we decided to have a card class. We did four (3 cards and two (2) tags) projects.
This card measures 4 1/2 x 11 and it can be folded horizontal or vertical. I choose to make it vertical. I added a 4 x 6 doily and cut it in half (I like how it comes together when the card closes. I normally add ribbon but felt it was needed. I backed a sentiment and put it in the middle of the card, **special note: if you were to tape down the sides on inside of the card- it would make a super gift card holder (spa)
This card says exactly what I’m thinking… Paris…. Doesn’t it look like spring ahhh Paris in the Spring. This is card was made using Whisper White card stock and measures 5 1/2 X 8 1/2 2 strips of decorative paper 1 3/4 X 6 and 6 inches of lace. 3 lavender paper flowers, Pave Rhinestone beads, gold wire clip and scrapbook scrap distressed in blackberry bliss. This was my favorite card of the day..
The last card measures 6 X 12 (REMEMBER if you mail a card this size-it requires extra postage). This card is made with crumb cake card stock. The Eiffel Tower was cut out using the Tim Holtz die by Sizzix. I decided to make this card my girly-girl card. using pink (light), pearls, paper flowers and ribbon. At the bottom of the card is the greatest washi tape, it’s French Script and Post Marks and (well use your imagination (smile)). I love the sentiment on this card=”LIFE IS BETTER WHEN YOU LAUGH”
I am a huge fan of tags, I tend to like larger tags, than small ones. Why? You can add more, do more and show off more.
This tag measures 3 X 8 1/2 in whisper white, 1 yard of nubby pretty in pink ribbon, The yard of ribbon was enough for a strip on each side of the tag and a smash rosette. I wanted to use an extra large black flower to highlight my smashed rosette with a small blossom acrylic flower backed by a white paper flower. On the side of the tag is washi tag with musical notes it was only applied to oneside. **Bon is French, as an adjective it means Useful. I love the paper bows-they were given to me.
