I’m back………..It’s me Trish and I’m still alive! Been a rough couple of days, But I made it. WOO HOO!!!!
So, it was my turn to make a new creation for Linnie Blooms, they sent me one of their latest kits -A Key Holder. No not a KeyChain, A key Holder. It’s really cool and you can make it the colors of your choice.
The kit comes with 9 canvas flowers, a rectangle shape of wood,(block of wood), 3 hooks for keys and 3 buttons. The flowers are super fun you can make them into your favorite colors, they have a super cool starburst edge. All of this comes in a amazing price. I’m going to order another kit and do daisies and the words- He Loves Me!!!
Let me show you my project-From Beginning to end
The kit comes packaged with the wood, individual packaging for the canvas flowers, buttons and hooks
Picture shows-canvas flowers and block of wood (buttons and hooks missing)
Let the decorating begin- I used Faber-Castell Gelatos to color the canvas flowers, I picked up some painter trowels from Home Depot for added texture and design (the trowels can be purchase for under a $1.00)
That was so much fun! I dipped the gelatos in a drop of water and started coloring, smooth and easy. The colors are vibrant and Faber-Castell have a color called Bubble Gum- that I love (I wanted to color all the flowers Bubble Gum). My original idea was to color the flowers starting from the back to the front was Black, White with black Polka Dots (Faber-Castell has a fun dauber that makes great polka dots) and Hot Pink- I could have done a light pink to give it more of a vintage look. But Hot Pink looks HAPPY (and you know it’s all about the B…,don’t say it or it will be stuck in your head all day- Oh no I thought about it and now I’m singing -It’s all about the bass-Meghan Trainor ) HAPPY=Me!!! (smile)
I kept changing the flowers around until I was happy this was the final decision
As for the block of wood I added Mud from Art Anthology and waiting for it to dry and I took a palate knife and spread it over the block to cause a distress look -I finished it off with the word “BLOOMIE”
Be sure to order your kit today- you can make your flowers any color you want. Send me a finished photo, I would love to post-
